The
World Cup has just barely ended and Brendan Rodgers will very much
ponder on how quickly things changed. Luis THE LEGEND Suarez, the
catalyst of his side meteoric rise to upper echelon of English Premier
League last season, has opted for a brighter and warmer climate of
Spanish La Liga for the next 5 years of his life and controversial
career. Surely the Ulsterman doesn’t want his beloved
Liverpool to follow the infamous demise of fellow “title chasers”,
Tottenham Hotspurs last season after the huge loss of their very own
Welsh wizard Gareth Bale. Although the cash generated from the sale of
Suarez will help boost the Liverpool playing ranks for the upcoming
season, there will never be the same aura again at Anfield. Every big
team has one particular world-class player that can change games with one
moment of magic on which they rely their biggest hope every match, and
Liverpool is no exclusion. Losing Suarez is a bitter blow for Brendan
and the Anfield faithful; not just for their EPL title assault but also
for the Champions League campaign as a whole.
